Ngaio Toy Library

Over a thousand toys available to your pre-schoolers - all for the cost of one toy!

Save $1000's on toys and be part of a community

As a member of the Ngaio Toy Library, you'll be able to hire 7 toys every 4 weeks. Puzzles, activity mats, musical instruments, blocks, dolls, outdoor toys, trains and construction toys are just a few of the hundreds of toys you can borrow when you join the Ngaio Toy Library. Save yourself thousands of dollars!

Run by the community, for the community, all families with children of pre-school age are welcome to join and borrow age appropriate toys for three weeks at a time.

The toy library is held fortnightly in Ngaio Town Hall, 1 Ottawa Road, Ngaio on Saturday mornings from 9.30am - 11.30am. We welcome new members at any time of year.

As always, we are looking for new committee members - please speak to the librarian if you are interested in this option. Being on the committee means you only pay duty rates, without having to be on library duty.

Ngaio Toy Library is affiliated to the New Zealand Toy Library Federation and shares the philosophy of providing safe, non-violent and developmentally-sound toys for children's play.

The Ngaio Toy Library is a charity. Each year we receive funding from grants that help us to run the library and pay for things like hall hire, staff wages, and insurance. We'd like to thank the TG McCarthy Trust, Community Matters COGS grant, and Lotteries Commission for their help to keep the library running.
